Photographing the Process of Creation

This is a photographic research project whose aim is to investigate the essence of painting and what painting implies, mainly in terms of the thought and inspiration of the painter.

Although the relationship between painting and photography has been a matter of discussion since the very early days of photography, no well-known and published author has used photography as a means of analyzing the creative process of painting. Many photographers have taken portraits of painters, either with their finished artworks or as they are working. However, such pictorial records have been limited to the documentation of the action of painting itself without investigating the underlying thought process or the genesis of the ideas.

The aim of the project is also to define a new way of using photography. This will produce an image that emotionally facilitates our understanding of the work of another artist who uses a different medium of expression.
