Creativity and Inspiration

Lessons for both photographers and painters, suitable for beginners and professionals.

Most people have suffered from a creative block at some point in their lives, whether briefly or for a longer period of time.

One of the myths of creativity is that it is exclusively for chosen few who have that “extra gear”. Another myth is that inspiration is an abstract experience which appears suddenly in unexpected moments.

The reality is that creativity and inspiration can be learned.

Nobody is continually inspired, but everybody has the ability to be creative. Those who believe they are not creative just haven’t found they key to unlock their creativity yet. As for inspiration, fortunately there are tools and techniques to stimulate it!

The most common way (and often the only way) for people to find their inspiration is to look at the work of others. However, this is a high risk strategy. If we depend too much on other people’s work to find inspiration, we often find that our work will be too similar to our source and not expressing our own individuality. Then what can be done?

I will utilise the most appropriate techniques to help you discover your own creativity and connect with the inspiration inside yourself which will allow your creativity to emerge and shine. I will provide you with exercises which will help you overcoming the creative block, stimulate inspiration and enhance self expression.
