Inspired by Botticelli’s Cestello Annunciation, this image reinterprets the sacred encounter by portraying both figures — the angel and the Virgin — as the same man. The white lily, symbol of purity, becomes an offering to the self. Shadows amplify the psychological and spiritual tension: is this an act of acceptance, refusal, or inner revelation? A contemporary reflection on identity, duality, and divine presence.
