Irises. In Greek mythology, Iris was the goddess of the rainbow — a celestial messenger uniting earth and sky. This vertical diptych reflects the journey of existence through two mirrored moments: a translucent sphere above holds a human fetus; below, a dark skull. Rather than beginning and end, they suggest a passage — a luminous arc where the whole of life, and the person who lived it, rises upward and shines. The title Alpha and Omega refers to the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet — a traditional symbol of life’s full span, here reimagined as one radiant whole.
